Bespoke garden design.
How I work…
I listen to your requirements for your garden. I consider the site: topography, available sunlight, existing and proposed architecture, current flora and fauna, and soil type. For the majority of projects I work on involve a new house or an extension to an existing house. The relationship between the new architecture and any existing garden will need to be reconsidered. Any design would need to knit together old and new gardens or propose total site renovation.
After the initial meeting, I will draft a letter that reflects my understanding of your requirements, presents my fees and work stages. Once you’ve approved the initial design phase, we can progress in phases to completion.
Why you might choose to employ me:
I’m a problem-solving designer who creates a framework for your garden to grow and evolve as part of family life. I value getting the right balance of space for nature, people, pets and play. Good planting design is both site-appropriate and reflective the client’s tastes and maintenance requirements.
Technology: Site visits are documented in 360-degree cameras to capture as much reference detail as possible. Digital 3D models are created for most projects. Both the existing and proposed site can be viewed from any key viewpoint and design proposals refined.
